12 San Diego Dealer If you could describe the best day in this busi- ness, what would it look like? This is the part where my accounting background comes out! The best day in this business is closing out the year-end statement. It summarizes the year and clears the way for the coming year. Describe your all-time favorite vehicle (it can be one you’ve owned, or something on your wish list). What are you driving today? I’m a truck/SUV guy. I drive a Chevrolet Silverado. But, my all-time favorite drive is my 1991 Chevrolet K5 Blazer. I restored it, and it’s my weekend car. I love that car. It’s a classic. Tell us about your family. My wife, Ellen, and I have three kids: Ty, Tommy and Tally. Ty is a swimmer at Boston College and currently a sophomore. Tommy just graduated from high school and is headed to UCLA to play water polo, and our daughter, Tally, is still in high school, and also plays water polo. Continued from Page 11 I think it’s so important that we have not just our local organization in our corner, but, also CNCDA. I met Ellen in Phoenix. She was going to ASU, I was selling cars at the Phoenix dealership, and she came in and bought a car. Out of all the dealerships she could have bought a car from, to this day, I am very grateful she chose ours! What is your favorite way to spend your free time? Any unusual hobbies? I don’t have a lot of free time, and when I do, Ellen and I like to travel. I scuba dive and deep sea fish. We spend a lot of time watching our kids at swim meets and playing water polo.
