F irst, I want to congratulate our 2019 Time Magazine Dealer of the year nom- inee, Ron Fornaca. As you probably know, this is one of the most presti- gious awards for dealers. Ron and his family attended the NADA Convention in San Francisco where 60 other nominees were honored. Ron’s photo will be hung in our Quality Hall meeting roomwith all of the other Time Quality Dealers. Your Association has been busy putting together several events that are coming up soon. First, the NCDAGolf tournament will take place onMay 13, 2019 at the Lomas Santa Fe Golf Course. Register now to attend this (always sold out) event this year. Then, on June 13, 2019 the NCDA Annual Meeting & luncheon will be held at the Lodge at Torrey Pines. This year’s keynote speaker will be Terry Bradshaw, former NFL quarterback, TV sports analyst and co-host of Fox NFL Sundays. You won’t want to miss this one. We are already working at a feverish pace on the 2020 San Diego International Auto Show which will take place on January 1 – 5, 2020. We are going back to a five day show this year in order to take advantage of New Year’s Day. And speaking of the Auto Show, I want to thank our San Diego Media for really stepping up at last year’s show! We had more media than ever at this show. Every TV Station, Radio Station and of course our media sponsor (Union Tribune) gave more than ever to help make our show a success. Our goal set for them this year (every station, every day) was something they exceeded! Some stations were there 4 or 5 times a day promoting this event. This extensive Media Coverage resulted in over $3.1 million in earned media exposure. Wow! Please take the time to thank them for everything they did for us! Finally, the New Car Dealers Association is the place to be for all of your group meetings. More than ever, our meeting rooms are filled with all of the Dealer Ad Group meetings, manufacturer training programs and seminars. We have 5 different meeting rooms available.
