I would like to take this opportunity to let you know that the Board of the San Diego New Car Dealer Associa- tion (NCDA) is grateful for your membership and takes great pride in serving its members. We are working diligently on your behalf to protect the new car franchise system. We are consistently receiving updates and relaying your concerns to the California New Car Dealer Association (CNCDA) and the National Auto- mobile Dealers Association (NADA). Please contact myself or any of your Board members with your issues and concerns. We visit regularly with the members of the California Assembly to remind our elected officials of the fine work we do in our commu- nity, the large number of employees we em- ploy, and of course the revenues we collect for those governments. The New Car Dealers Association is very proud to present the 2018 San Diego International Auto Show. Most of you know that you’re New Car Dealers Association produces this show on an annual basis and it is instrumental in the operation and funding of all of our efforts. It is with this in mind that I urge you to be sup- portive of our auto show; we encourage you, your employees and our customers to attend each and every year. Statistically we know that consumers enjoy the relaxed yet informative environment we provide for vehicle shopping. Second only to visiting your showrooms, this environment stimulates the most new car buy- ers. Your San Diego New Car Dealers Associa- tion uses the funds we receive from this auto show to provide the many benefits you enjoy. The NCDA pays the state (CNCDA) and national (NADA) association dues on your behalf, and hosts meeting space for many of the local advertising associations. We also provide train- ing on a variety of important subjects like the California Sales Training Academy, a beginner’s introduction to new car sales, wage and hour training and proper legal disclosure compli- ance training for our F&I departments. We are currently working on a proposal to help each and every dealer create the proper environment within their stores to assess and elevate your employee satisfaction levels in your dealerships. We all understand how valuable our employees are, how difficult it is to hire, train and motivate them, so it is incum- bent upon each of us to attempt to provide a positive work environment which allows us to retain these most important assets. In closing I would like to wish you all a very happy holiday season a safe and a very prosperous new year in 2018.
