20 San Diego Dealer O n Thursday, June 15th, the New Car Dealers Association hosted its Annual Meeting and Luncheon at the beautiful Lodge at Torrey Pines.With over 120 guests in attendance, the Annual Meeting and Luncheon honored incoming and outgoing Board Members and welcomed the legendary Coach Lou Holtz as their keynote speaker. The traditional passing of theTiffany gavel was given to outgoingChairman of the Board, Owen Mossy, by incoming Chairman, Richard Newendyke. NCDA President, Dean Mansfield announced the new board members official list will be published later in the month. After the formalities, guests were treated to a gourmet lunch and the highlight of the day, Coach Lou Holtz’ keynote address. The famed Notre Dame Coach, shared stories of success and had the room roaring with laughter with his clever and witty sentiment and memories from his 26 years as a college football head coach. He had powerful and endearing messages, and even did a magic trick that caught the audience off guard. There was no doubt, Coach Holtz was thoroughly embraced and appreciated by the audience and he was gracious with his time in taking pictures and signing autographs with his long-time fans.
