Involve me and I’ll understand. —Chinese Proverb Serve as a supervisor and mentor to a student as follows: Unpaid or paid work experience Traditional internship or a client based project completed in a classroom through a combination of visits & remote contacts Internship training plan jointly developed by the educator and supervisor Workers’ Compensation Insurance liability covered by school district Minimum 35 hours per internship Minimum age of intern: 16 Speak to our students on topics such as: Personal career journey Technical skills & demonstrations Career preparation (cover letters, resumes, applications, interviewing) Preparing for success “Next Steps” Presentations typically are 20 - 30 minutes followed by a Q/A session. Open up your business to an on-site learning experience for a student(s) which can include: Company history & tour Employee presentations Technical skill demonstrations Liability covered by district Experiences are typically 4—8 hours.
