6 San Diego Dealer I want to congratulate Greg Kaminsky and Doug Fuller for being named TIMEQualityDealers this year. Greg Kaminsky was the nominee for the New Car Dealers Association San Diego County, and Doug Fuller was nominated by the State Association (CNCDA). The Award Presentation took place at the NADA Convention in New Orleans in late January. Greg Kaminsky joined a very special club this year as he was named the U.S. Western Region FINALIST. Only three other dealers in San Diego have achieved that honor in the 35 years of our Association nominating dealers for the award. Bob Baker, Joe Drew and John Hine Sr. were all FINALISTS in years past. This award recognizes the best of the nation’s dealers, not only for their business successes, but for their extraordinary commitment in giving back to their local communities. It is one of the automobile industry’s most prestigious and highly coveted honors. I also want to remind all of you that the NCDA has again paid your dues to both the State Association (CNCDA) and the National Association (NADA) for 2014. Remember that this one benefit of membership in NCDA for many dealers more than pays for the dues you pay into our Association. But, we strongly encourage you tomake donations to both the State andNational Political Action Committees in addition to the NCDA PAC. More than ever, all three Associations need to have the tools to help dealers through legislative issues at all levels of Government. We are seeing an attack on the Franchise System like we have never seen before. Please help us to help you by making donations to all three PACs this year so that we can help to elect business-minded legislators and Congress Members. Finally, I want to thank all of our dealer and Associatemembers for your continued friendship and support as I celebrate my 25th year anniver- sary as President of the Association. As many of you know, I started my Automotive career at the Montana Automobile Dealers Association right out of college 36 years ago, and will continue to enjoy working for the San Diego Dealers for many years to come.
