All this coverage is provided by over 200 reg- istered journalists who attend the show’s media preview, and continue to cover the show for its duration. Leap says highlights for the 2014 show will include 13 Ride & Drive events (themost in its history), and a special exhibit of the iconic Mustang, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2014. The exhibit will feature Mustangs from then and now. With the economic crisis a distantmemory, and new-car sales escalating every quarter, the 2014 model year is serving up an engag- ing array of newand fully redesignedmodels, ranging from family sedans and luxury cars to hot sport coupes and pickup trucks. Leap said other potential new attrac- tions include the new Corvette Stingray, which dominatedmedia coverage during its launch in Detroit in January, along with the Chevrolet Silverado pickup and the all-new SS performance sedan. Another GM brand, Cadillac, may show its ELR, also launched in Detroit. Want more? These vehicles could also make an appearance at the show: the Mercedes Benz S-Class, the Jaguar F-Type, the Jeep Cherokee, the redesigned Toyota Corolla, the BMW 4-Series, the Fiat 500L, and the Infiniti Q50 – all of which were cited by Forbes Magazine as the hottest new cars for 2014. Returning features include the Think Blue Eco-Center and the extremely popular Mobility Zone, along with Mazda Family Day. These and all the family-friendly features that have come to define the San Diego International Auto Show are on tap for 2014, sure to be one of the best.
