6 San Diego Dealer ©2 is a Dear Dealer Members, W ith the San Diego International Auto Show only a few weeks away, we are busy gearing up for San Diego County’s premiere automotive event. This time of year is very exciting for the NewCar Dealers Association as we begin the countdown clock to opening day of the show! When I was back in Detroit this past summer meeting with manufacturer representatives about their plans for our show, all indicators pointed to a robust presence with newer, more improved exhibits and interactive programs. We have secured a record-setting 12 Ride & Drives along with laying out a floor plan that includes increased manufacturer space in addition to several new features. We anticipate our expanded exotics area to be a popular feature this year, along with some returning favorites such as the Eco-Center and Mobility Zone. As you know, the SanDiego International Auto Show is the primarymeans of stimulating sales into the NewYear. We are encouraged by the response and support of the manufacturers as it translates into support of our Dealer Members. We continue to work with our media partners to garner expanded news coverage, special programming and top-tier advertising campaigns to drive ticket sales. We have great sponsors who bring unique opportunities and incentives to auto show attendees while also contributing to our profitability with their sponsorship dollars. As owners, producers and presenters of the auto show, the New Car Dealers Association is committed to maintaining our reputation as one of the best auto shows in the United States. With this time of year also comes the holidays.
